We will discuss this statement and decide whether it's correct or not. First of all, it's a fact, that the book shows what can happen when especially young people are bullied or worse. We know from experiences at our school, that words can hurt and that they can make the bullied person depressive. "13 Reasons Why" isn't a fantasy story, it deals with real-life problems and the consequences that so few people talk about. On the other hand, the book doesn't give any advice to a person with these problems, it just shows the problems. 5. Diary Entry Hey, today I´m going to discuss, which elements of the book I enjoyed and which parts are different from what I expected. First of all, I'd like to talk about the perspective. It leads you through the story with a perfect balance between Clay's realtime experience and Hannah, who tells her story from the tapes. Secondly, there are the characters, almost all of them are evolving in their own way throughout Hannah's and even Clay's story. Everyone can tell his own story and has an actual background, that can explain their action in the book. Furthermore, I must confess, that this is really the only book without many action elements, that I really liked and enjoyed. But there is also a thing, I'd consider improvable and that's the role of the school itself. Of course, we have Mr. Porter, who represents the school's actions against bullying, but I think it would be nice to have a closer look at how the school handled bullying before, or even loo...
